A Few Putting Tips

Two areas need to be consistent in order to be a good putter, distance and direction (trajectory does not apply). Players on the PGA Tour average only 50% on six foot putts, but jump up 95% at 3 feet. They also only "three-putt" one time over two rounds. What these stats indicate is the touring professionals have great distance control. To help your distance control use your eyes for feel. If you were to roll your ball to the hole, picture how much arm swing it would take to roll your ball the intended distance. For direction 95% of the tour players line-up the logo on their ball where they want to start the ball. The face angle of your putter determines your direction, so set your putter face perpendicular to your logo.
